The mall in southern Thailand will open in a month’s time, the government said.
The new mall will be named after the late Maha Raja, who founded the mall in 1972.
The government said in a statement the building will be constructed in a time-honored style and be a shopping destination for tourists.
It will include restaurants, hotels, shops and leisure facilities, it said.
More than 6,000 jobs will be created and 2,000 new jobs will also be created in the country’s tourism industry, it added.
