(AP) The St. Clair Shunde has announced the signing of Jaromii Jagr on a two-way contract.
The 6-foot-6 forward, who has played with the Nashville Predators, Detroit Red Wings and St. Paul Saints, is expected to begin training camp in the coming weeks.
The 23-year-old defenseman will play in St. John’s and join a team that already has a healthy group of forwards.
He joins fellow St. Lawrence alum Chris Bourque, who will be in St Louis.
Jagr has scored 30 goals in 49 games this season for the Predators, who finished second in the Metropolitan Division and reached the second round of the playoffs.
He has also scored nine goals in 25 games with the Saints.
The Predators are 2-1-0 in their past seven games.
