The following recipe is for a homemade hamburger bun.
The bun is filled with beef, onion, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
This recipe is very easy to make and will keep for weeks.
The ingredients are: (1) 1 lb ground beef (about 3 pounds) (2) 1 1/2 cups water (about 4 1/4 cups) (3) 2 onions (about 2 pounds) sliced (4) 2 cloves garlic, minced (5) 2 teaspoons olive oil (about 1 teaspoon) (6) 1 tablespoon cumin (about a teaspoon) ground to a powder (7) 1 cup chicken broth (about 8 1/3 cups) (8) 1/8 teaspoon salt (about 10 milliliters) (9) 1 teaspoon black pepper (about 5 millilitres) (10) 2 tablespoons chopped celery (11) 1 tablespoon chopped onion (about 20 millilitments) The buns can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
If you make them ahead, store them in the freezer for up a week.
Cook the beef.
In a large saucepan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it is smoking.
When it begins to smoke, add the onions and cook for 3 minutes.
Add the garlic, cook for about 1 minute, and then add the tomato, beef, water, onions, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
Stir until well mixed.
Add a few teaspoons of salt to taste and add 1 tablespoon black pepper.
Add ground beef and water to the mixture and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes.
Stir in the chopped celeries, pickles, and onions.
Serve hot with mustard or ketchup.
You can make your own biscuits by making biscuits at home.
Simply mix all the ingredients in a bowl and cook until soft.
The biscuits are great for a sandwich or a picnic.
The recipe will make about 8 biscuits, or about 30 sandwiches.
